Field Inspector Pro, operated by DAK Enterprises LLC.

Effective: October 9, 2026
These Terms are an agreement between DAK Enterprises LLC ("DAK", "we", "us") and the business or organization that signs up for Field Inspector Pro (the "Customer"). They cover the Field Inspector Pro app and website (the "Service"). The person who accepts these Terms does so on behalf of the Customer and confirms they are authorized to bind it. People who use the Service because the Customer gave them access ("Users") must also follow Sections 6 and 7.
Field Inspector Pro is provided only to businesses and organizations, for use by their own employees and contractors in their work. It is not offered to, and may not be purchased by, individuals for personal, family, or household use. Every account belongs to a Customer. Customers sign up on our website, where the person signing up confirms they are doing so on behalf of a business or organization. Users are invited by the Customer's administrator. We may decline or close any account that is not held by a business or organization.
The Customer is responsible for who it invites, the roles it gives them, keeping sign-in details confidential, and all activity under its accounts. Each User account is for one person and may not be shared. The Customer must promptly remove or deactivate Users who should no longer have access.
Fees, seats, any trial period, and the billing cycle are as shown on our website when the Customer signs up or changes its plan. Billing is handled by Stripe. By providing a payment method, the Customer authorizes recurring charges for its seats until it cancels. The Customer's administrator can change seats or cancel from the billing page on our website. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the Customer keeps access until then. Fees already paid are non-refundable, and we don't give prorated refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused seats, except where the law requires otherwise. Seats added during a billing period are charged the full monthly seat price when they're added, then renew with the rest of the subscription. Seats removed stay available, and billed, until the end of the current billing period. We don't prorate seat changes. Fees don't include taxes, which the Customer pays where they apply. We may change fees with at least 30 days' notice, effective at the next billing period. Billing is between DAK and the Customer. Apple is not part of it and is not responsible for it.
If a trial ends without billing set up, or a payment fails, we may suspend access to the Service until billing is set up.
The Customer owns the information, reports, photos, and other content it and its Users put into the Service ("Customer Data"). The Customer allows DAK to host, process, and transmit Customer Data only as needed to provide and support the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell Customer Data.
Photos and signed reports are saved to cloud storage that the Customer connects and controls. Supported storage providers include SharePoint/OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Amazon S3-compatible storage. Files are saved in a folder named "Field Inspector Pro", with a "_System" folder for company items such as the logo and one folder for each job. With Dropbox, that folder is Dropbox's app folder, Apps/Field Inspector Pro, and Field Inspector Pro can only see that folder, not the rest of the account. The Customer is responsible for that storage account, its settings, cost, access permissions, and retention, under its own agreement with the provider. DAK is not responsible for a provider's availability, or for files that anyone other than DAK changes or deletes in that storage. Until storage is connected, or while a device is offline, photos and signed reports wait on the device and are saved later; a device that is lost or erased before then may lose them. The app also saves a copy of each photo it takes to the device's Photos library, as described in the Privacy Policy, and Users must follow the Customer's own rules for photos on their devices.
If the Customer changes storage providers, its administrator can have the app copy the Customer's files to the new provider, or copy the files themselves and have the app re-link them. Field Inspector Pro never deletes anything from the old storage. What stays there remains the Customer's responsibility.
The copy the app saves to the device's Photos library ("photo backup") only works if the User allows Field Inspector Pro to add photos. If that permission is denied, photo backup is off and the app shows this notice on its Home screen for as long as it stays off: "Photo backup is off. Photos you take aren't saved to this device's Photos library, so unfinished or un-uploaded photos can be lost. DAK Enterprises is not responsible for photos lost while backup is off."
Whether or not photo backup is on, photos and other work that have not yet been finished and uploaded to the Customer's storage exist only on the device until they upload. To the extent the law allows, DAK is not responsible for any loss of photos, reports, signatures, or other data that happens (a) while photo backup is off, or (b) before that work has been finished and successfully uploaded to the Customer's storage, including loss caused by the device being lost, stolen, damaged, erased, or reset, the app being deleted, or iOS removing app data. The Customer is responsible for making sure its Users keep photo backup on where the Customer's policies allow it, and for connecting company storage so that work uploads promptly.
Field Inspector Pro is a documentation tool. It doesn't provide engineering, inspection, legal, or other professional advice, and it doesn't check whether a report is correct or meets any code or standard. When a User signs a report, the User confirms it is their own professional work and is accurate. The name, title, and license printed with a signature come from the signing User's own profile, and each User must keep that profile accurate. Signed reports can't be altered; an edit creates a new signed version and the earlier one is kept. Company administrators can delete a report from the Service. That doesn't delete the signed PDF already saved in the company's storage. The Customer and its Users are responsible for their professional findings, for holding the licenses and insurance their work requires, and for keeping signed reports as long as the law, licensing boards, or contracts require.
The Customer and its Users must not: use the Service unlawfully; create false, misleading, or fraudulent reports; sign as someone else or misstate qualifications; upload content they have no right to use; interfere with the Service or try to access it or other customers' data without authorization; or copy, resell, reverse engineer, or build a competing product from the Service, except as the law expressly allows.
Customers of the earlier iCloud version may use the one-time move tool. It reads from iCloud without changing it, copies records to our backend and photos directly into the Customer's connected storage, and checks every item against the original. Before starting, the Customer should connect its company storage and follow the on-screen steps. Anything left in iCloud stays under the control of the Apple Account that holds it.
The Customer may stop using the Service and cancel at any time, as described in Section 3. We may suspend access to protect the Service or other customers, as described in Section 3 for billing, or for a serious breach of these Terms, and we'll restore access once the issue is resolved. Either party may end this agreement for a material breach that isn't fixed within 30 days of written notice. When the account ends, the Customer has 30 days to export its data, and we delete it within 90 days, as described in the Privacy Policy. Files in the Customer's own storage are not affected.
We improve the Service over time and may change features, with notice of material reductions. We may update these Terms by posting a new version and notifying administrators at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date means the Customer accepts the update.
Except as stated in these Terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", and DAK disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. DAK doesn't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue, and DAK's total liability arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the fees the Customer paid DAK in the 12 months before the claim. This section also applies to the data loss described in Section 5A.
The Customer will defend and indemnify DAK against third-party claims arising from Customer Data, from inspection reports and professional services the Customer or its Users provide, or from a breach of Section 7. DAK will defend and indemnify the Customer against third-party claims that the Service, as provided by DAK, infringes their intellectual property rights.
These Terms are governed by Florida law. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute informally for 30 days after written notice. A dispute that isn't resolved that way will be decided by the state and federal courts located in Collier County, Florida, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. Claims may be brought only individually, not as a class or representative action, to the extent the law allows.
For the iOS app, these Terms are between the Customer and its Users and DAK, not Apple. DAK, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app, its maintenance and support, any warranties not disclaimed, product claims, legal and regulatory compliance claims, and intellectual property claims. The license to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices the User owns or controls, as the App Store Usage Rules permit. Users confirm they are not located in a country subject to a US embargo and are not on a US government restricted-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement on this subject, unless the Customer has a signed agreement with DAK, which controls where it conflicts. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver. The Customer may not assign these Terms without our consent, except to a successor of its business; we may assign them in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

This policy explains what information Field Inspector Pro collects, why, where it's kept, who it's shared with, how long it's kept, and how to have it deleted. Field Inspector Pro (the "Service") includes the iPhone and iPad app and the website at fieldinspectorproapp.com. It is operated by DAK Enterprises LLC ("DAK", "we", "us").
Field Inspector Pro is provided only to businesses and organizations ("Customers"), such as inspection and engineering firms, for use by their employees and contractors ("Users"). It is not offered to consumers.
If you use Field Inspector Pro through your employer, questions about your company's inspection records go to your company administrator. We'll help them answer.
Account information: your name, work email address, password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), your role in the company (administrator or inspector), and whether your account is active.
Company information: company name, business address, phone number, logo, report wording defaults such as professional opinion and limitations text, and team membership.
Inspector profile: name, title, professional license number and license state, email, and phone number. These print on the reports you sign.
Inspection records: everything entered into a report or job, such as project, client, and site details, permits, plans, element types, observations, results, notes, job notes, distribution lists (names and email addresses of the people who receive reports), report numbers, links between re-inspections and the reports they resolve, and an edit history showing who changed what and when.
Signatures: the signature you draw at Finish & Sign, stored with the signed report.
Photos: the photos and plan sheets you add to a report, with their capture date and time. Section 4 explains where photo files go.
Location: if you allow location access while using the app, the app records your device's precise location when you start an inspection, turns it into a street address, and saves the coordinates and address with that report. The app never tracks your location in the background. You can deny location access and type the address yourself.
Job site location and weather: the app looks up the weather for the job site, not for wherever your device happens to be. To do that, it finds the coordinates of the job's site address and saves them with the job. Only if a job has no usable address does the app use your device's location for the weather instead. If neither is available, you can enter the weather yourself.
Time entries: clock-in and clock-out times by job, and any notes, if your company uses timecards.
Storage connection details: when an administrator connects company storage, we store what's needed to save files there (a sign-in token for Microsoft, Google, or Dropbox, or an access key for S3-compatible storage), and the email address of the storage account that was connected. The credentials are encrypted before they're stored.
Technical information: when an administrator moves data from the earlier iCloud version of the app, we record the device type (iPhone or iPad), operating system version, app version, the iCloud user identifiers attached to the records being moved (the account being read, plus the owner and creator of shared records), and the counts and results of each step, so we can confirm nothing was lost.
Billing information: when a business signs up on our website, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive the company's billing status, plan, and seat count, and a Stripe customer reference. We never receive or store full card numbers.
Sign-in and security information: our authentication provider records when you sign in, your IP address, and your device or browser. Our website records the IP address of signup attempts to prevent abuse. If you turn on two-factor authentication, we store the information needed to verify it.
Messages: if you email us, we keep the messages, including any diagnostic text you choose to send us from the app, so we can help you.
What we don't do: we don't show ads, we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, we don't use third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools in the app, and we don't access your contacts.
We use information only to provide and support the Service: to sign you in, show your company's records to the people your company allows, create and sign PDF reports, save files to your company's storage, send account emails such as invitations and password resets, bill the Customer, keep the Service secure, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Our backend: account, company, profile, inspection records, signatures, edit history, time entries, job site coordinates, photo records (captions, file names, checksums), and encrypted storage credentials are stored with our database provider, Supabase, in the United States (Amazon Web Services, US East region).
Your company's storage: photo files, plan attachments, logos, and finished signed PDF reports, plus, for customers moving from the earlier iCloud version, the photos and any signature images carried over, are saved only to the cloud storage your company connects. Supported storage providers include SharePoint/OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Amazon S3-compatible storage. Files are saved in a folder named "Field Inspector Pro", with a "_System" folder for company items such as your logo and one folder for each job. With Dropbox, that folder is Dropbox's app folder, Apps/Field Inspector Pro, and Field Inspector Pro can only see that folder, not the rest of the account. That storage belongs to your company and is governed by your company's agreement with its provider. DAK doesn't host your company's files. Until storage is connected, or while you have no signal, photos and signed reports wait on the device and are saved to company storage later.
Changing storage providers: if your company moves to a different storage provider, an administrator can have the app copy the company's files to the new provider, or copy the files themselves and have the app re-link them. Field Inspector Pro never deletes anything from the old storage. What stays there is up to your company.
Inside the app on your device: the app keeps a working copy of your data, photos waiting to upload, and signed reports in its own private storage.
Your device's Photos library: every photo you take with the app's camera is also saved to your device's Photos library. This is on purpose. It gives you a backup copy of each photo, on your device, in your own Photos library, in case anything happens before it reaches your company's storage. Please know:
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that limit how they use it, and with the storage provider your company chooses:
Within your company, what you enter is visible to the people your company's administrators allow. Reports you share by email, AirDrop, Files, or print go wherever you send them.
We may also disclose information when the law or valid legal process requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply.
The earlier version: before the current Service, Field Inspector Pro was an app that kept its data in the user's own iCloud account, through Apple CloudKit, rather than on DAK's servers. Some existing customers still have that version installed until they move. It looked up the weather with Apple Weather, and when Apple Weather was unavailable it requested the weather from Open-Meteo, an outside weather service, sending the device's location coordinates. The current Service doesn't use Open-Meteo.
The move: customers of the earlier version can move their data into the Service. The move starts only when an administrator chooses to start it. It reads from iCloud and doesn't change or delete anything there. Records are copied to our backend, and photos are copied directly into the company's connected storage. No separate backup copy is made: the data in iCloud stays untouched as the original, and every item is checked against it. Once the move, including its photo stage, is finished, the app doesn't read from iCloud again. Anything left in iCloud stays under the control of that Apple Account until its owner deletes it.
While a Customer's account is active, we keep its information for as long as the Customer uses the Service.
When a Customer cancels or its account ends, we keep its data for 30 days so the Customer can export anything it needs. We then delete it from our systems within 90 days of the cancellation. Copies in our backups are deleted as our backups expire on a fixed schedule.
Signed reports: a signed report is a professional record that the inspector and the Customer may be required to keep, often for years. The official copy of every signed report is the PDF saved in the Customer's own storage, and the Customer decides how long it stays there. Closing a Field Inspector Pro account doesn't delete anything in the Customer's storage. Customers are responsible for keeping signed reports for as long as the law, their licensing board, or their contracts require.
While an account is active, signed reports can't be altered. An edit creates a new signed version and the earlier one is kept, so the record of what was signed is preserved. Company administrators can delete a report from the Service. That doesn't delete the signed PDF already saved in the company's storage.
We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and short-lived security logs (for example, rate-limit records) for a short time, usually a day or two.
You can delete your account at any time in the app: open Setup, then Account, and tap Delete Account. The app explains what will be deleted and what your company keeps, and you finish on our website by re-entering your password. Deletion is completed right away. If you can't use the app, email [email protected] from the address on the account, or use fieldinspectorproapp.com/support, and we'll complete your request within 30 days.
What deletion means:
Company administrators can also remove or deactivate team members in Setup > Team.
Information is encrypted in transit. Storage credentials are encrypted at rest. Access to company records is limited by account and role at the database level, and signed reports are protected from alteration. Company administrators can delete a report from the Service. That doesn't delete the signed PDF already saved in the company's storage. No system is perfectly secure; if a security incident affects your information, we'll notify affected Customers as the law requires.
You can view and correct most of your information in the app, and control camera, photo, and location access in iOS Settings. Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, and not to be treated differently for using those rights. To make a request, contact us using Section 13. If your request concerns your company's inspection records, we may refer it to your company, which controls those records, and help it respond. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of.
The Service is for businesses and isn't intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date and let Customers know about material changes by email before they take effect.
